The Rules
How the random draft works
No favouritism, no stitch-ups. Just a clean, pot-based shuffle so everyone walks away with a fair spread of contenders and dark horses.
- 1.All 48 nations are split into 4 pots of 12, based on FIFA's official seeding (Pot 1 = the heavyweights, Pot 4 = the longshots).
- 2.Once everyone's checked in as ready, the admin triggers the draft.
- 3.Each pot is shuffled like a deck of cards, then dealt out round-robin to the two punters — one nation each, until the pot is empty.
- 4.Because 48 ÷ 2 = 24, each punter ends up with exactly 6 from each pot — 24 nations total. No leftovers.
- 5.The result is final and locked in. Last nation standing wins the Sweep — and bragging rights for life.
